Starting 2019 Strong

Glancy Nicholls Architects are delighted to announce three new promotions, setting 2019 up for another successful year.

Simon Jesson, Lisa Deering and Adam McPartland have now joined the team of Directors. Having shown great commitment, dedication and passion in their time at GNA, their support within the management team will be crucial in developing the business through the exciting year ahead.

Simon became part of the GNA team in 2013 and was subsequently promoted to Associate Director in 2015. With over 15 years’ experience across a number of work sectors he has primarily focused on higher and further education. He currently leads a team delivering a wide range of schemes for university clients across the region. His focus will be to build on GNA’s reputation for delivering high quality architecture through the higher and further education markets, with a platform to develop BIM/Architecture within Heritage and Conservation contexts.

Lisa joined GNA in 2008 and has since been an integral part of the studio, supporting the company’s growth.  She has vast experience in a number of building sectors including commercial, healthcare and leisure. Most recently Lisa been the lead for ‘The Redevelopment of the Perry Barr Campus’ – an ambitious scheme providing over 1,400 new residences, amenity and community spaces. Lisa’s team will predominantly concentrate on the masterplanning, residential and commercial sectors.

Adam joined GNA in 2011 and became a Chartered Architect in 2015. As one of the lead designers in the practice, Adam works closely with clients, developing concepts and exciting new visions. Going forward Adam is heading up a team looking to deliver over 3000 new homes in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area. He has extensive on-project experience designing and delivering significant tall buildings and is looking forward to announcing GNA’s involvement in several high-profile skyscrapers in the near future. In April 2019 Adam will be a guest speaker at the Tall Buildings Conference in London.
