Appointment of three Associate Directors

Associate Directors Promotion

We are pleased to announce the promotion of three Associates at GNA, supporting the company expansion and the promotion of three additional Directors.

Andrew Hassell, Leanne Platow and Alexa Woodward have been promoted to Associate Directors within the studio. With their experience, energy and expertise and in their new roles, they now look forward to building on their success and continuing to inspire others at GNA.

Andrew has been with GNA since 2013 and has been responsible for delivering a wide range of projects across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on education projects. He is a talented designer with over 20 years’ experience and has worked on a variety of projects including new build, refurbishment and extensions, within primary, secondary and SEN schools and further/higher education facilities. Now as part of the management team he is responsible for the efficient running of the studio, heading up the education team alongside Martin Beaumont, which includes helping to secure successful bids within the sector.

Leanne has been part of the GNA team since 2005 and she has a wide range of experience in many sectors including Education, Student Accommodation and Specialist Residential, with a focus on Extra Care and Residential. Leanne has developed excellent technical knowledge and continues to manage teams to deliver successful projects, ensuring that all relevant standards are adhered to.

Alexa joined Glancy Nicholls Architects in March 2015 and has over 15 years’ experience covering a number of sectors including Residential, Commercial and Education, whilst also working on a wide range of impressive and inventive academic projects. A member of Birmingham City Council’s Conservation Heritage Panel, she has a detailed knowledge of working with listed buildings and a focused interest on bringing historic and neglected buildings back into modern use.
